Safeguarding

Every student at Notre Dame should feel safe and secure whilst at school.

School should be a place where you learn and develop. It is important that all students at Notre Dame understand what they should do if they do not feel safe and secure.

You do not have to suffer in silence.  Find an adult who you can trust to talk to: it could be you form tutor or any other adult. They will listen to you and take your concerns seriously and help you to feel safe.

At school we try to protect you and keep you safe from bullying, cyber bullying, homophobic behaviour, racism and other forms of discrimination.

At school through lessons, assemblies and Enrichment Days we will help you to be more aware of how you can keep yourselves safe and what behaviour towards you is not acceptable.

Any discriminatory behaviour is challenged and support is given to you about how to treat others with respect.

If you feel you are being subjected to any of these behaviours then you must report it to an adult in school.  We are here to help you and will take your concerns seriously.
