Year 10 Careers Workshop with JD Sports: A Day of Inspiration and Insight

On Wednesday, 9th October, our Year 10 students took part in an exciting careers workshop hosted by JD Sports at Evolution in Battersea. This unique event was designed to inspire young people and educate them on the wide array of roles available within JD Group and the wider world.

The day kicked off with high energy, featuring a dance-off where students cheered for their favourite dance crew, setting a lively tone for the rest of the event. Following this, students engaged in a Q&A session with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into various career paths within the company. Students were also selected to participate in interactive quizzes, with plenty of prizes up for grabs.

Throughout the day, students rotated through different departments, from merchandising and marketing to design, learning about each role’s importance and responsibilities. They also participated in hands-on activities, including a JD gym workout, a CPR training session, and a workshop on arranging and setting up a retail shop floor.

This immersive experience allowed students to look beyond the surface of a well-known brand like JD Sports and appreciate the extensive teamwork and expertise that go on behind the scenes. Our students represented Notre Dame with exceptional enthusiasm, creativity, and respect, supporting each other and making the most of this opportunity to explore their futures. We couldn’t be prouder of their ambition and engagement throughout the day.
