World Day of Prayer
On Friday 1st March 2024 we came together, alongside many churches around the UK, to hold a World Day of Prayer Service that focused on the theme: “I beg you, bear with one another in love”.
World Day of Prayer is an international, inter-church organisation, led by women, encouraging us to hear the thoughts, hopes, concerns and prayers of other women from other countries and cultures across the world. This year the Christian Women of Palestine invited us to pray for peace, justice and freedom of religion and movement, asking us to pray for women, refugees, the sick, dying and grieving.
The service was held in our beautiful library, with Year 7P students, Year 10 Performing Arts students and our renowned Gospel Choir being joined by members of Southbank Churches, St George's Cathedral, Southwark, Lambeth Methodist Church and King's College London.
Reverend Sarah Farrow, Chaplain at King’s College London, led our ecumenical service and was joined by former Notre Dame student, Adelina, who is now in her second year at King’s.
