Retreat Day with NET Ministries

On Monday 24th February, the whole of Year 9 took part in a special retreat day led by the NET Ministries team, a group of ten young adults dedicated to sharing the Gospel. The theme of the day, ‘Free Indeed’, encouraged students to reflect on their identity as daughters of God and to look at life from a different perspective

The retreat was an opportunity for students to step away from their daily routine and deepen their faith. Through games, activities, small group discussions and prayer, the NET team invited students to encounter Jesus in a meaningful way. A key part of the day was exploring the contrasting messages about women in the world and in God’s eyes. In smaller groups, students considered two thought-provoking questions:

  1. What does the world say about women?
  2. What does God say about women?

The retreat concluded with a time of prayer and reflection, giving students the opportunity to respond personally to God’s love. Many found the experience deeply moving:

“I thought it was very impactful; it has helped me strengthen my relationship with Jesus. The day has taught me that I am a loved daughter of God.” Naomi

“It was a reflection of our relationship with God in our lives.” Precious

“I feel more connected with God and have a stronger desire to get closer to Him.” Francess

The day’s activities, especially the NET team’s testimonies and Drama scene on reconciliation, left a lasting impression on our girls, reminding them of the transformative power of faith.
