Jack Petchey Winners 2024/25

Congratulations to the Jack Petchey Winners of 2024-2025!

Throughout the school year the following students were awarded the Jack Petchey prize by their peers:

Zoe - 11J

Cyrilla - 9N

 Janet -  10F

Jeanette -  7A

Alesha - 8P

Mahrlee-Katie - 8A

Rita - 10J

 Alison - 11M

Chikaima - 9N

The students were chosen for a number of reasons by their peers, who had to vote via Google classroom on why the student should be awarded the prize.

Here are just some of ways students used their prize money:

Alesha and Mahrlee combine their winnings to take the Year 8s to the trampoline park Oxygen at the O2. Heights were reached, challenges were accepted and a lot of team building achieved.

Cyrilla brave the heights and leaps of Go Ape. Cyrilla decided to take 9 of her peers to attend the activity park Go Ape, at Battersea Park in May. Students took to the many high ropes and zip wires on offer. Several students conquered their fear of heights and challenged themselves to test the many rope challenges.

It was off to the Bubble Planet in Wembley for Jeanette to explore the colourful and surreal experience.

Chikaima opted for a pizza party for the whole of the year 9. Pizza was ordered from Crust Bros Pizza in Waterloo. A dance off was soon taken in the carpark where students enjoyed the afternoon after their pizza.

Thorpe Park was the choice of prize for Alison, who felt that the end of GCSE exams would be best celebrated with day out of roller-coasters and water rides.

No school could be complete without a Sports Day. Janet and Rita used some of their winnings to help with the Sport Day this year. The whole school will be travelling to Tooting Bec Athletic track for day 1 of Sports Day. This is exciting as the last time the school Sports day was held at an athletic track was 2019.
