Exploring Equistone

Year 10 students visited Equistone Partners, an independent investment firm and were introduced to the many different aspects of business such as finance, marketing, administration, ESG (Environmental, social, and governance). Here’s what two of our students had to say…

On our trip to Equistone, we were introduced to the many different aspects of business such as finance, marketing, ESG and more that opened our eyes to the vast world of business. We were taught about the components of private equity and investing, which we then put into play through an exercise which placed us in a business setting, challenging us to think of both the pros and cons of investing in Talon, a big, out of home advertising business.

Visiting Equistone was an eye opening and engaging experience into the finance industry. We participated in a taster session so that we could experience their work first-hand. We got to develop our own opinion on whether we would invest in ourselves, weighing up the pros and cons. We were then given a tour and were greeted by staff who informed us about their career pathways and their specific job roles.
