Thursday 5 December 2024 A Day at RAMBERT Our ND Dancers enjoyed an inspiring afternoon at the renowned RAMBERT, one of the UK’s leading contemporary dance companies. The visit included an exclusive tour as well as the chance to meet professional dancers and the artistic director, Benoit Swan Pouffer, who graciously welcomed our girls into one of his rehearsals.

Tuesday 5 November 2024 Year 10 Careers Workshop with JD Sports: A Day of Inspiration and Insight On Wednesday, 9th October, our Year 10 students took part in an exciting careers workshop hosted by JD Sports at Evolution in Battersea. This unique event was designed to inspire young people and educate them on the wide array of roles available within JD Group and the wider world.

Monday 22 July 2024 Unforgettable experiences in Rome The highly anticipated annual Rome trip took place at the beginning of July, with Year 10 and 11 students jetting off to experience a city brimming with history, culture and the promise of unforgettable experiences.

Tuesday 2 July 2024 Celebrating Culture On Friday 28th June, the school was bursting with colour, vibrancy and excitement, with students adorned in outfits representing their cultural heritage. The day began with a multifaith prayer and form classes greeting each other in over 20 different languages! Throughout the day they participated in various activities, focusing on the themes of diversity, identity and culture, during their lessons and form time.

Thursday 16 May 2024 Archbishop leads over 10,000 children in a rosary at Notre Dame We were delighted to welcome Archbishop John Wilson to Notre Dame on Tuesday 7th May to lead over 10,000 students across 90 schools in South London and Kent in praying the rosary.

Wednesday 24 April 2024 Budding athletes representing Notre Dame at TCS Mini London Marathon With 20 participants running 2.6km, each student showcased remarkable determination and resilience, crossing the finish line with respectable times. Their efforts were recognised as they were awarded medals, symbolising their dedication and achievement.

Friday 8 March 2024 Championing Brighter Futures A number of inspirational guest speakers from different sectors were invited in to discuss their career journeys including PwC, Audley Travel, Cameron Mckenna Law, She’s GOLD and Motivez. Select students attended an apprenticeship fair at The Oval whilst others attended workshops at London South Bank University. What’s more, our very own students ran workshops for their younger peers.

Friday 1 March 2024 World Day of Prayer World Day of Prayer is an international, inter-church organisation, led by women, encouraging us to hear the thoughts, hopes, concerns and prayers of other women from other countries and cultures across the world. This year the Christian Women of Palestine invited us to pray for peace, justice and freedom of religion and movement, asking us to pray for women, refugees, the sick, dying and grieving.

Wednesday 21 February 2024 Titilayo shines at Jack Petchey's Speak Out Challenge Notre Dame Catholic Girls' School is proud to announce that one of our own, Titilayo Taoreed, has made a significant mark at the Southwark Regional Final of Jack Petchey's Speak Out Challenge. This event is the largest public speaking programme in England, managed and delivered by the Speakers Trust, the UK's leading public speaking organisation.

Monday 27 November 2023 Chess Competition On Thursday, Notre Dame hosted a Chess Friendly against Harris Boys Academy, Peckham. It was an enjoyable afternoon of playing the competitive game and learning new tactics too. Ms. T-B learnt a new move called the 'Queen's Gambet' and Sr.Nicole won two matches!

Monday 20 November 2023 Prize Ceremony This month, we warmly welcomed our Notre Dame alumni, the 2022 Year 11 class back to school, for the highly anticipated prize ceremony. It was a lovely evening, sharing and celebrating our students' successes, and hearing how much the girls are enjoying the challenges at college and sixth form.

Tuesday 7 November 2023 Groundwork London and Southwark MHST We are delighted to announce that Groundwork London and their Mental Health Support Team, are going to be working with individual students over the academic year, as well as our form representatives during their Student Council meetings, to offer support, advice and tools surrounding mental health and wellbeing.

Friday 3 November 2023 She's Gold 2018 graduates returned this week to raise awareness about the charity they have helped set up called ‘She’s Gold’. She’s Gold is on a mission to empower young girls through the knowledge of Jesus Christ by helping them to understand who they are and equipping them to lead successful lives. Through training, coaching and mentorship, they aim to unleash and maximise the potential of every young girl; to activate and enrich their minds; and to get them ready for influence and impact through their careers.

Monday 16 October 2023 Bright futures with Norton Rose Fulbright To celebrate International Day of the Girl 2023, a group of Year 9 students were invited to a day of enterprise at Norton Rose Fulbright, a global law firm with offices in in London.

Monday 2 October 2023 The Power of Dance Over the course of two weeks these students, alongside our Performing Arts Teacher, Mrs T-B, took part in up to 8 dance workshops at the Siobhan Davis Studios. Their hard work and efforts culminated in a celebratory performance on Saturday 10th June 2023 where all participants came together for the first time and wowed members of the community in Elephant and Castle. For many this was their first experience of performing in front of an audience.

Friday 29 September 2023 Next Step Evening Jane Mills, former Head Girl, shared her journey from Year 7 at Notre Dame right through to achieving a place at The University of Cambridge. She talked enthusiastically about the value of working consistently, getting involved in extracurricular activities and developing a wide range of skills to build up a detailed and impressive CV and application profile. She encouraged students to aim high and strive to go for what really excites them.

Friday 25 August 2023 GCSE Success Stories 2023 High achiever Marie secured a phenomenal 9999999887 in her GCSEs and is looking forward to studying A Level Physics, Maths and Economics at sixth form. She praises her teachers for always providing the motivation she needed and for helping her realise her full potential. The former Southwark Park Primary School pupil strives to obtain a place at Oxbridge in the future and dreams of being Prime Minister one day!
