Enrichment
Beyond the classroom our students will find limitless opportunities to enhance their studies, enrich their cultural awareness, develop their passions, explore new interests, make new friends and create lasting memories.
Our unrivalled extra-curricular and cultural programme encompasses a wide range of interests. Students can represent the school in a sports team or play for fun, perform in a drama production or take a role backstage, immerse themselves in music through our Gospel Choir or take up private tuition. They can join one of our many clubs such as Art Club, Peace and Justice Club or Debate Mate, with opportunities to participate in local and national competitions.

Academic Enrichment
Step outside the school gates and our young people can extend their academic learning and increase their cultural awareness through a vast range of local, national and international trips. From visits to galleries, museums, theatres, concerts and lectures to residentials, excursions and trips abroad to countries such as Rome.
With our excellent location and transport links, we make excellent use of the opportunities that London and the surrounding areas provide. We also have strong relationships with other local schools, sixth forms/colleges, universities, businesses and community organisations to further enrich our student experience through trips, inspiring guest speakers, workshops and seminars, mentoring and cutting-edge resources.

Sports
All our students are encouraged to take part in sport to not only improve their health and fitness, but to develop key skills such as teamwork and resilience and build strong friendships.
Different sports are offered according to the season including Netball, Athletics, Basketball, Cricket and Football, all provided by our sports staff and visiting specialists through lessons or extra-curricular clubs. We make use of our sports hall or the neighbouring Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Sports Facility, next to the Imperial War Museum.
Students have many opportunities to represent Notre Dame in a range of sports, competing against other schools at a local and national level. Our annual Sports Festival is a highlight of the year, promoting healthy competition amongst students. Our girls can also take on roles of responsibility by becoming Sports Captains or helping to organise and run sporting events.

The Creative Arts
Music
Our Music Department is designed to inspire and nurture the musical talents of our girls. Whether they are an experienced musician or just starting their musical journey, we offer a variety of opportunities to suit every interest and skill level.
During lessons, students can explore a wide range of instruments from piano and guitar to the bongo drums as well as discover the world of music production with our state-of-the-art music technology facilities. They love to record, edit and produce music using the latest software on our suite of Macs.
Outside of lessons, students can join our esteemed Gospel Choir who regularly wow audiences at school events, competitions and community celebrations or take up private tuition to refine their skills.
Drama
Our Drama Department offers students the chance to delve into the world of theatre, developing their creativity, confidence and communication skills through a variety of experiences.
Drama is taught in our dedicated Drama Studio with a computerised lighting system, allowing students to act, sing, dance or become part of the production team backstage.
Over the course of the year, the Drama Department offers clubs, produces memorable performances such as our Cultural Showcase, and organises theatre trips to the likes of The Young Vic and Mountview Peckham. Students can also gain insights from industry professionals through workshops and masterclasses run by our partners.
Dance
Dance is very popular at Notre Dame. We offer a range of different disciplines, from Samba to Street Dance, and the chance to participate in a different clubs and competitions, meaning there is something for everyone.
Charity and Fundraising
Charity work, volunteering and fundraising play a big part in everyday student life at Notre Dame. From thinking up innovative and fun activities to our annual fundraising events, through to regular volunteering in the local area, students are encouraged to be philanthropic both here at school and beyond. This participation encourages students to be confident and compassionate individuals who are ready to make a positive impact on the world.
Leadership
Our young people are also inspired to take the lead and have a say in their learning journey. They are involved in decision making and given roles of responsibility from Cultural Champions, the Cathedral Team and Big Sisters to School Council representatives, Sports Captains and Student Ambassadors. By fostering a community where every voice is hard and every dream is supported, we empower our students to confidently navigate the path ahead whilst developing key skills such as teamwork, initiative and leadership.
